Jireh House is finalizing plans with the San Antonio Housing Authority to quadruple its operating space and expand its services. In addition to providing short-term food and clothing assistance to Cassiano Homes residents, Jireh House intends to provide a greater variety of services and opportunities for education to help residents obtain employment and greater self-sufficiency. In the near future, we also hope to partner with several existing federal and state programs, by offering:

  • A Summer Food Service Program. Occupying a new facility will allow Jireh House to become a feeding site for this valuable program, which provides nutritious meals for children during summer months.
  • CHIP Children's Medicaid Registration. With added space, Jireh House will serve the residents' needs by providing instruction on CHIP registration, which provides health insurance coverage for a population not otherwise covered.
  • Texas Low-Income Energy Assistance. Jireh House will help qualifying residents connect with providers of energy services.
